Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: There are plans for Mahindra to shake the subcompact SUV segment with two variants of the XUV300 coming in 2024 and expectations are high. Their goal is to reveal an updated design, additional features, and better capabilities. Here is everything you could remember to understand these innovations that are currently making a buzz.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift
New XUV300, which is expected to be launched in February, 2024, has been predicted to make waves in the SUV segment. New spy images reveal exterior redesigns, integrated front grills, new sleeker C-shaped LED headlights inspired by XUV700, and tight LED tapering vertical tail lamps.
As for the interior of the new XUV300, it is anticipated to adopt a more luxurious interior that would still manage with a better designed infotainment system, improved fabrics, and a couple of other tricks. This is the facelift that Mahindra has developed to deal with the challenges posed by other companies such as Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue, that is to say, this is to ensure that the XUV300 does not fade away from the competition in the market.
Powertrain Options
The facelifted XUV300 is expected to still feature a powerful range of engines:
- 1.2 litre Turbo Petrol door motor producing 109 BHP and 200 NM of torque.
- 1.2-liter mStallion turbocharged petrol engine rated at 128 BHP and achieving torque of 230 Nm.
- A 1.5-litre diesel engine rated at 115 BHP with a torque rating of 300 Nm.
Mahindra may relaunch the 6MT to lower trims of the model but will source a new 6 speed torque converter in place of the outdated AMT, as per leaks.
A Sustainable Future
In addition to the facelift, the company Mahindra is focusing on cementing its position as the market leader by launching a new generation XUV300 EV model in the Fizz June 2024. The network also offers that the facelift version will be revealed in the coming weeks as well as the all-new XUV300 EV that is set to be released in June 2024. Priced lower than the XUV400 SUV, this electric variant of the XUV300 is compact, very efficient, and comparatively low cost. Compared to the XUV400’s 45kWh battery, the XUV300 EV has a smaller but still decently sized battery of 35kWh so as to provide stiff rivalry within the range of ₹15-17 lakh (ex-showroom).
